Look this way Teddy Bear!

So today I finally got to touch the camera!!! It was so fun! We got to have a fake session with a teddy bear. We got to use whatever backgrounds and props that we wanted and then we learned how to edit them. It was so much fun to pose and to just get the creative energies moving again. We learned the sales tips today and then tomorrow we have to "sell" Teddy's pictures to our studio manager. It sounds like its going to be fun. We hopefully will be able to take our own sessions this weekend eeeeeeee!!!!! :)
So this drum major thing that David is at is about as strict as the army. I told him last night that I got to talk to him more when he was working for the Department of Defense. He thought that was really funny and told me to put it in here lol. So Friday can't come soon enough. 2ish weeks without having more than a 5 minute long conversation is enough for me.
This is completely off topic from everything else that I have written in here the past 2 days but I just was awestruck today that our Lord isn't a boring Lord. He keeps everything fresh and he is exciting. I was reading a link on Facebook that someone posted from Stuff Christians Like and it was talking about our God being a God of exclamation marks. How awesome is that? In Isaiah 40:9 it says "You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do "not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” I mean really..."Here is your God!!!!!" That is just awesome. He is an exciting God and it just makes me love Him that much more.
That's all for now. Remember to smile :)

To finish this module...

So today was my second day of work and I finished my video tutorials. I loved it! I mean the video tutorials were boring but the work in general I think is going to be so fun. I love the girls I work with and I think that we are all going to get along great. Fun fact...one of the girls that I'm working with was in Aunt Amy's class in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. Small world. Anyways, I love it and I can't wait to start taking pictures.
Mom-Mom and Kelly went to Dover with me today. While I worked they shopped. Kelly is still trying to get wedding stuff together. Today we decided that we are going to get the ties for the guys from Bridal Boutique. We went in there today and the ladies were so nice. The one lady that helped Kel was so nice and we talked about Maggie Sottero dresses for like 20 minutes. She was so helpful and polite. I hope that someday I can buy my dress from her.
David called this evening on his dinner break at the camp and said that he was at the Rot and it made me miss Liberty. Not the Rot but just Liberty in general. He's going to Osaka's on Friday with Drew and Josh and I would LOVE to be there. Mmmm some japanese food would be sooo good right now. I would make it myself but my Mom is allergic to soy and that is kind of important in japanese food haha.
Okay so I'm just rambling now so I'm going to end this. Hope everyone had a great day. Remember to smile :)

Trying something new

So I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and try and start a blog. It took me forever to come up with a name because I have no idea what I want this blog to be about. I'm thinking it's going to be a little of everything. So here goes nothing.

I start a new job today. It's as a studio photographer at Sears Portrait Studio. I'm very very very excited to start this job. I love that it is semi close to what I studied in school. It's not video but it's media nonetheless. Today is orientation and computer training so hopefully by the end of the week I will get to touch a camera.I miss cameras. I am kind of nervous in a way as well. So hopefully I can keep my wits about me and do awesome. It's a 45 minute drive so I'll have time to work my nerves out listening to my awesome Christian radio :)

David is on his way to the Burg today and I wish I could go with him. I realized today that I do miss Lynchburg. I just want to be able to see everyone. I wish that Lynchburg was in Delaware because then everything that I love would be in one place. Anyways, David is going up there to be a liaison at a drum major camp that is being held at LU. He left at 9 and is just leaving the High Point area because he blew out a tire, so hopefully the rest of the trip is smooth. Keep him in your prayers.

So that's my first attempt at a blog post. Hopefully they get better. Remember to smile today :)
